Heavy equipment dealer Kleis Equipment is set to become a four-branch operation with the upcoming launch of its new Develon location in Avon, New York. It will also add Develon's full lineup to its branch in Belington, West Virginia.
In Avon, Kleis Equipment built a 16,000-square-foot facility to expand its service to contractors, landscapers, municipalities, loggers and farmers in western New York, specifically the Rochester and Interstate 390 markets. The new Develon store will begin with six to eight employees, including full-time parts and service managers.
“The decision to open a new location in Avon came down to market coverage, customer access to Develon machines and growth opportunity for Kleis Equipment,” said Avon Branch Manager Marshal Oberer. “Western New York has a large base of contractors who need better access to construction equipment.”
In West Virginia, the company’s existing Belington location will soon bring the full line of Develon compact and heavy equipment to local contractors.
Kleis Equipment, which has been owned and operated by John Kleis for nearly 20 years, joined the Develon dealer network in 2018 through its location in Constantia, New York. Other brands in Kleis Equipment’s portfolio include Barko, Kioti, Hustler, CSI, Ponsse, Bush Hog, Quadco, Rotobec, Bandit, Husqvarna and Terex.

Develon recently debuted the redesign of its smallest ADT, the DA30-7. The 62,000-payload artic gets a completely redesigned cab, like its sister DA45-7, with a more automotive feel. Both the new DA30 and DA45 are launching this summer.
