The big show is fast approaching, and ConExpo exhibitors have given us a sneak peek into what they’ll have in store for those attending the March 7-11 massive exhibition. Here’s the spotlight on three exhibitors in the South Hall:

The Brokk 280 remote-controlled demolition machine includes the Brokk SmartPower electrical system, which optimizes machine performance based off power supply quality and ambient temperature. It senses when a power supply is poor or faulty, and can be set to work on worn fuses. It can also track the electrical motor’s power usage and adjust s the machine to use more power in cold environments and less power in hot environments. The machine features a 20-foot reach and weighs 6,945 pounds. The 280 has as much as 25 percent more breaking performance – a combination of impact power and blow frequency – over its predecessor.

Other equipment on display: The Brokk 110 remote-controlled demoltion machine.

The Triple Labyrinth Seal design on Martin’s Idler line has an external shield that deters impurities from entering the bearing housing. A flinger design removes contaminates away from the bearing housing by centrifugal force. The seal is grease filled and offers an additional level of protection from contaminants impacting the bearing. The idlers have sealed-for-life ball bearings.
