The latest round of the WEX Construction Fuel Consumption Index (FCI), is out and indicates an increase of 6.5 percent in February over February 2012.
The FCI was up 1.6 from January. The index measures national fuel consumption statistics for the construction industry to provide an month-t0-month measure of construction activity in the United States.
Private residential construction fuel consumption increased by 3.3 percent, but construction spending excluding improvements decreased by 1.8 percent in January.
