Better visibility in the rain.Engineers in the Netherlands have come up with a luminous powder that absorbs light during the day and then reflects it back at night, creating a glow in the dark highway. The material can also be designed to change visibility at certain temperature, so, for instance, when ice forms on the road the paint becomes visible warning motorists to slow down.
