JLG Completes SkyTrak Telehandler Overhaul with 3 Updated Models

JLG Industries has completed the full remodel of its SkyTrak telehandlers with the launch of the new 10042, 10054 and 12054.

Offering up to 12,000 pounds of lift capacity and up to 53 feet 2 inches of lift height, they deliver updated technology and serviceability for heavy construction, infrastructure, industrial and material handling applications. JLG says the telehandlers are ideal for lifting heavy pallets, staging materials, supporting steel erection and handling large equipment.

All three models are powered by a 110-horsepower, Tier 4 Final Cummins F3.8 diesel engine and equipped with a four-speed Powershift transmission featuring new SmartShift, which automatically shifts between third and fourth gears for smooth, efficient operation, the company says.

A new advanced control system with updated diagnostics and expanded functionality allows buyers to spec the machine with two optional features:

• Load Stability Indication (LSI): Helps operators by sensing forward load capacity and displaying visual indicators.
• Seatbelt Engagement and Operator Presence (SEAOP): Provides visual and audible alarms and limits certain machine functions when operator engagement requirements are not met.

The updated cab has a larger LCD display and improved single-page load charts.

A new electric-over-hydraulic joystick with integrated auxiliary hydraulic functions and attachment tilt controls enables greater multifunction capability. Auxiliary hydraulic connections have also been relocated to the side of the boom head for faster attachment changes. Flat glass windows simplify glass replacement, should damage occur.
