Singapore-based Typhon Machinery has rolled out its new xFlex series of scissor lifts, including walk-behind models, electric-propulsion variants and wheeled or tracked options.
The new xFlex lineup is designed to meet a wide range of elevated access requirements, offering working heights from 20 to 40 feet. Typhon says the xFlex series combines rugged construction with advanced electric-drive technology and intuitive controls, designed to help businesses increase productivity while minimizing maintenance costs and improving equipment uptime.

The Walk-Behind series is designed for maneuverability in confined spaces, making them ideal for indoor maintenance, warehouse operations, facility management and other light construction projects. Models include:

The xFlex-2037W offers 20 feet of working height, manual outriggers and a 1,102-pound maximum load capacity. It has a platform size of 83 inches by 33 inches and an overall weight of 1,764 pounds.

The xFlex-4065W’s 100-inch by 60-inch platform provides room for multiple workers and their tools. It has a 1,102-pound load capacity, a maximum lift height of 40 feet and an overall weight of 5,975 pounds.
Powered byBoth models are powered by a 110-volt battery. The lifts come equipped with swivel outriggers, providing support for operation and reducing vibration. The assisted walking handle allows for easy repositioning in tight spaces, while traceless tires prevent scuffs and damage to finished indoor floors, the company says.
For added safety, full guardrails and kickboards surround the platform to prevent accidental falls and dropped tools. Emergency stop buttons are located on both the ground base and the elevated platform. The lifts must remain connected to a power outlet at all times during operation.
Electric Propulsion Scissor Lifts
Available in both wheel and track configurations, the three-model Electric Propulsion series is designed for higher mobility, quiet, emissions-free operation and enhanced operator comfort. The lifts are suitable for a wide range of applications, from indoor industrial use to demanding outdoor construction. The batteries can be charged in 6-7 hours and offer 6-8 hours of working time on a full charge.

The 1.2-ton xFlex-2031EM features a maximum platform height of 20 feet and a safe working load of 705 pounds to accommodate two employees and their tools.
For jobs that require additional reach, the 67-inch platform can be extended to an additional 20 inches with a foot-operated control. The extension platform has a 250-pound weight limit.
The lift can be raised or lowered in 80 to 90 seconds. It has a retracted travel speed of 2.2 mph and a lifted travel speed of 0.5 mph. A turtle mode enables slow, controlled movement in confined spaces
Solid tires with integrated brakes provide stability and reliable stopping power. An emergency stop provides instant shutdown capability. Fault codes automatically display for easy maintenance.

The 2.6-ton xFlex-4046EW touts a maximum platform height of 40 feet and a large 91-inch by 46-inch work platform with a 705-pound load capacity. An platform extension provides operators with an additional 35 inches of working space, with a 250-pound weight limit.
An intelligent control system with automatic walking allows for one-person operation. An emergency decent feature allows for controlled lowering of the lift during a power failure. A real-time tilt monitoring system alerts the operator when the lift is at an unsafe angle.
The lift travels at 0.37 mph when retracted and 1.12 mph when elevated.
xFlex-4068ET
For more challenging terrain, the 3.2-ton xFlex-4068ET Electric Track model delivers enhanced traction and stability, allowing operators to work on uneven or rugged surfaces. It has a maximum platform height of 40 feet and a maximum load capacity of 705 pounds. (Shown at the top of this article.)
The 91-inch by 46-inch work platform with a 705-pound load capacity can be extended an additional 35 inches for extra workspace and improved reach.
The xFlex-4068ET delivers a maximum climbing capability of 30 degrees and a climb rate of 15 feet per minute.
