RSC Equipment Rental presented 226 of its 460 locations with the 2008 annual Presidents Award for Safety, which recognizes locations that achieve zero recordable accidents for the year. Injury-free teams received recognition and a small gift commemorating their achievement.
RSC’s Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) incident rate decreased by 33 percent from 2007 to 2008, and the amount of injuries and illnesses resulting in days lost from work decreased by 38 percent. As of August 2009, RSC’s OSHA rate was 2.3.
