The American Society of Concrete Contractors 2006 Safety Awards Program recognized concrete contractors with exemplary safety records at the association’s annual conference on Sept. 14, in Milwaukee, Wis.
Webcor Builders, of San Mateo, Calif., along with Prus Construction, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Oakley Construction, of Hermitage, Tenn., won the Best Safety Achievement award for general contractors with the lowest incident rate. Specialty contractors winning the same category were S.B. Ballard Construction, Virginia Beach, Va., Walbridge Concrete Services, Detroit, Mich., and Garland Concrete, Garland, Tex.
