United Rentals opens contractor supplies center and Wyoming branch

United Rentals has opened a general rentals branch in Casper, Wyoming, and a contractor supplies distribution center in Aurora, Ill. In addition to renting equipment for commercial and industrial construction, renovation and maintenance, the general rentals branch provides new and used equipment sales, repair and maintenance services and a line of contractor supplies. The contractor supply center is the third of nine regional warehouses planned for the United States and Canada. The Aurora facility will stock 8,000 retail contractor supply line items, including saw blades, power tools and safety gear. Most customers who place orders before 5 p.m. receive overnight delivery. The center will fill customer orders placed through more than 100 United Rentals locations from Ohio to Iowa, Minnesota and Kentrucky. In late 2004, United Rentals opened contractor supplies distribution centers in Atlanta and Middletown, Penn.
