More robust accounting software specifically for contractors

Foundation Software announced the release of the 4.5 version of its Foundation for Windows construction accounting software. The new version is the result of extensive research and development efforts designed to create features contractors need and desire, but were virtually unaddressed by previous accounting programs.

Among the upgrades contained in the 4.5 software package is the ability to attach an unlimited number of images and documents to any maintenance record. This is a user defined option, and allows you to attach a picture of an employee or an image of someone’s driver’s license, for example, to the employee record. Other possibilities include attaching safety logs, equipment specs or maintenance logs.

A new Document Control module allows users to stay informed through extensive tracking of submittals, transmittals, requests for proposals, information requests, punch lists and other project documentation. Jobsite tracking and contact management options are key parts of this module as well. Contractors can now design an unlimited number of customized proposal and/or work order templates.
