Safety and power enhanced on boring machine

As one of the biggest machines in its lineup, McLaughlin’s new McL-36/42 auger boring machine punches out 633,333 pounds of forward thrust and 113,500 foot-pounds of peak auger torque. Designed for cased bores up to 42 inches in diameter, the unit has a 96-horsepower diesel engine, electromagnetic clutch, five-speed transmission with reverse and a planetary reduction final drive to the 4-inch hex chuck. For increased safety, a low-profile centerline and Mclaughlin’s Operator Presence Control reduces the risk of rollover. Dual-cylinder stroke and an auto-hydraulic dog plate increase boring efficiency and speed. The quick-connect design allows you to position, separate and remove components from the trench easily and with reduced lifting requirements.
