Diamond Z Manufacturing acquires Rule Steel

Diamond Z Manufacturing, a maker of tub and horizontal grinders, announced March 8 it has purchased Rule Steel, a manufacturer of steel products. The acquisition expands Diamond Z’s product offerings, purchasing power and labor base, the company said. Rule Steel, founded in 1960, focuses on structural steel, tank and waste container products. Its relationships with steel mills go back 45 years. The acquisition will allow Diamond Z to work directly with steel mills and will provide both companies increased purchasing power among suppliers. The companies’ combined labor force has increased to nearly 200 employees. Rule Steel will retain its name and will be considered a wholly owned subsidiary of Diamond Z Manufacturing. The company’s Caldwell, Idaho, location and workforce will remain the same.
