What would you pay for a shorter commute?
Tom Jackson | September 10, 2009

According to this poll, the majority of respondents would gladly cough up $10 to $20 per trip just to cut 15 minutes off their driving time.

And yet politicians and transportation officials in Washington can’t seem to find the wherewithall to raise the gas tax a dime a gallon.  The public wants this, the people are willing to pay for it. The politicians are just afraid of the soundbites. Profiles in Courage, anyone?
