Though Jeep has not officially released photos of its new pickup, it looks as though images of the highly anticipated truck were leaked from FCA’s media site.
Jeepgladiatorforum.com reports that several images of the pickup were released today before being taken down. This follows a prior leak in which Jeepgladiatorforum reported discovering the name of the pickup, Gladiator. The forum was so confident in the information that they changed the name of their forum to include the name ‘Gladiator.’
Available engines will include a 3.6-liter Pentastar or 3.0-liter EcoDiesel, both V6s. Pentastar transmission choices include an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual while the EcoDiesel will get an eight-speed automatic.
Other specs: five foot steel bed, soft or hard top, folding windshield, third generation Dana 44 axles, best in class towing and payload at 7,650 and 1,600 pounds respectively.
Jeep plans on revealing its pickup later this month at the L.A. Auto Show.
