Ram revealed a lot of changes to its popular 1500 lineup at the Detroit auto show this week and its efforts haven’t go unnoticed.

Cars.com editors announced today that they’ve named the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 “Best of Show” for the 2018 North American International Auto Show.

“Ram climbed to the top of the heap for its blend of capability, comfort, technology and efficiency,” Cars.com reported.

When determining the Best of Show, Cars.com experts consider new vehicles for their innovation, overall show impact and execution of claims.

The all-new 2019 Ram 1500 attracted plenty of attention for its improvements in durability, technology, efficiency and convenience with features never before offered in a pickup.

Overall weight for the Ram 1500 has been reduced by 225 pounds. As the truck’s backbone, the frame uses advanced materials and engineering to eliminate weight while increasing stiffness and durability for 12,750 pounds of towing capability and 2,300 pounds of payload.

An all-new eTorque mild hybrid system delivers improved fuel efficiency in both V6 and V8 configurations.

As a segment shake-up, Ram introduced the new Uconnect 4C with a massive 12-inch touchscreen that features split-screen capability, 360-degree camera views and exclusive content from SiriusXM with 360L.

Active safety and security systems join the technology onslaught with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, Blind-spot Monitoring and ready alert braking, an advanced monitoring system that will prime the brakes and improve stopping power in preparation for a possible collision.
