Shockzilla, an 8-in. lifted F-250 with exhaust stacks, shows how beautiful a Super Duty Raptor could be

Though Ford used this year’s SEMA show to unveil the F-150 Raptor that it will race at the Baja 1000, we were a bit more taken by another off-road engineered pickup at the automaker’s booth.

ford-f-250-shockzilla-sema-1Meet Shockzilla, maybe our closest approximation yet as to what a Super Duty version of the Raptor might look like. Created by Fabtech using a 2017 F-250, this monster is lifted with an 8-inch suspension system and boasts 15 inches of shock travel.

The truck features Fabtech’s 4-in. diameter Dirt Logic coilover and bypass shocks on all four corners and also features Deaver Spring long travel leaf springs. It rides on Moto Metal 20-in. wheels wrapped in 38-in. Nitto tires.

Underneath the hood is Ford’s new 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel augmented by an aFe Power intake system and custom cat-back exhaust stacks rising from the bed.

Another thing we liked about this pickup was the look of it. Fabtech has added some striking copper accents to Shockzilla on the grille insert, the inner wheel and inside the cab on the dash.
