The American Public Works Association (APWA) and the National Association of Regional Councils (NARC) are partnering to work cooperatively on issues impacting public works and local governments.
The organizations signed an agreement, which just formalizes an ongoing working relationship between the two associations and serves as the basis for APWA chapters and regional councils to partner locally.
“We’re at a critical juncture in the history of our nation’s economy and infrastructure, and it’s important we work together to meet common goals,” said APWA Past President Larry Frevert in a written statement. “By sharing information and expertise we can further programs and projects that will have a lasting impact on not only our members, but also all of the citizens we serve.”
The agreement outlines several areas of cooperation, including the following:

Collaboration and exchange of information, education, training, technology and best management practices;
Fostering joint cooperation and participation in education programs;
