The Asphalt Institute has named Alden Bailey, Director, Supply & Development at Jebro Incorporated, as the 2008 Chairman of the Asphalt Institute (AI) Board of Directors at the Institute’s annual meeting in La Jolla, California . Ralph Shirts of ExxonMobil was named Vice Chairman of the Institute for 2008.
In other Asphalt Institute news, Roger Rixom, retired vice president of Technology for Florida-based ArrMaz Custom Chemicals was recently presented with the Institute’s Distinguished Service. Rixom was recognized with this award for his contributions in the development of asphalt additives. Rixom developed alternative and improved chemistry for antistrip additives.
