Subaru Robin has introduced the largest model in its line of performance air-cooled, four-cycle EX Series engines; the EX40 overhead cam engine. Applications include general construction equipment, power generators, compressors and small agricultural machinery.
The EX40 uses chain-driven overhead cam (OHC) technology offering more power, easier starting and quieter operation than competitive engines in its class, according to the company. The EX40’s intake and exhaust valves are positioned to offer lower resistance for air/fuel mixture, coupled with the EX40’s high compression rate the engine is both efficient and powerful.
