Cummins Power Generation announces price increase

Cummins Power Generation has announced an average price increase of 18 percent on 750 kilowatt to 2,000 kilowatt diesel generator sets transitioning to lower emission levels required by EPA Tier 2 regulations that take effect Jan. 1.

The company said the advanced technology used to achieve lower emission levels combined with rising raw material costs produced the need for the price increase. Increases will range from $16 to $19 per kilowatt more than current Tier 1 price levels.
