Leica Geosystems launches service and support initiative, names vice president

Paul Stack, newly appointed vice president, support and service for the Americas, Leica Geosystems, is spearheading the company’s initiative to expand and integrate technical support, service and training for North American customers. Stack joins Leica from Visteon, a supplier of automotive parts and integrated systems. He will have responsibility for overseeing customer service and support for surveying, machine automation, mining, laser and leveling systems. Stack says his goal is to integrate all aspects customer support and service across the whole spectrum of products and systems under central management. As part of the initiative, Leica will open a resource and support center in Lawrenceville, Ga., in early 2005. The center will house the company’s service and support organization and feature a state-of-the-art training center.
