Paladin buys Jewell Manufacturing

Attachment manufacturer Paladin has acquired Jewell Manufacturing, based in Portland, Ore. This is the fourth acquisition for Paladin since October 2003. Jewell’s products include a family of customized replacement booms specifically designed for excavators and material handling markets. The company also designs, manufactures and installs specialized conversion packages for excavators and other construction equipment. Paladin says the acquisition strengthens its position in the demolition, recycling and material handling markets. Jewell will remain in Portland, operating from a new manufacturing and assembly facility to be built within the next year. The company will join Genesis, a manufacturer of mobile shears and concrete demolition tools, in Paladin’s demolition, recycling and forestry group.
