The Top Depth system by 3B6 Technologies uses Can Bus technology through a hard-wired system to feed real-time digging information to an in-cab display. You simply sweep your boom or stick through the laser and the information is collected by the excavator-mounted receiver. Once you set your depth, you can simply dig to grade. The measurements come directly from the cutting edge of the excavator.
