Atlas Copco Construction Tools recently introduced its Penta Series of light hydraulic breakers, which feature Krupp percussion technology and offer service weights ranging from 200 to 795 pounds. The company says the breakers are ideal for road construction, landscaping, light demolition and smaller trenching. The attachments’ impact energy class ranges from 200 foot-pounds to 1,000 foot-pounds. To reduce vibration and noise, the breakers are equipped with the VibroSilenced damping system, which consists of elastic elements between the percussion mechanism and the guide system. A long piston stroke reduces the transmission of vibrations to the carrier, lessening strain on the operator and machine.
