ICUEE forklift demonstration area to simulate real working conditions

At this year’s International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition, visitors will notice there is something different in the demo exhibits. The show will feature a new forklift demonstration area that will simulate the real-life working conditions ofrough terrain forklifts.

Show management decided to add the forklift area because of general contractors’ increased interest in ICUEE. The expanded show space and the availability of a grassy/gravel area will allow more demonstrations. The newest demo will be located in Area G of the show’s outdoor exhibit space. At the 2002 show the outdoor exhibit space was expanded to showcase deep digging, shallow digging and overhead equipment applications.

“We’re called the ‘demo show,'” ICUEE show manager Paula Miller said. “Attendees come to see and experience equipment in action so they can assess product performance and make informed purchasing decisions.”

The 2003 show, themed “The Proving Ground,” is expected to have more than 800 exhibitors on over 1 million square feet of exhibit space. In addition to the demonstrations, the show will feature a variety of educational seminars on new technologies and innovations in the construction and utility industries.

ICUEE is geared toward the utility, water, sewer, telephone, gas, cable television, electric and general construction markets. The show will be held September 23-25 at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky.
