AGC: Shrinking construction industry adds 1,000 jobs in August as unemployment rate falls
Construction employers added 1,000 jobs in August as the industry's unemployment rate fell to 11.3 percent, according to an analysis of new federal data released today by the AGC Friday. The August 2011 unemployment rate for construction workers was 13.5 percent.
