Caterpillar 966K XE production units started going to European customers in June, with North American models available later this year. Cat is claiming fuel efficiency gains of up to 25 percent with the model.

Caterpillar unveils the 336EH, its first hybrid excavator
Caterpillar unveiled its very first hybrid excavator, the Cat 336EH. The machine is an all-hydraulic hybrid capable of up to 25 percent greater fuel efficiency than the standard 336E and up to 50 percent greater fuel efficiency over the Cat 336D.
