Former Cat chairman, CEO enters National Mining Hall of Fame at MINExpo

Former Caterpillar chairman and CEO Glen Barton will be inducted into the National Mining Hall of Fame during its 25th Silver Anniversary Induction banquet and ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 22.

Barton, who worked as chairman and CEO at Caterpillar from 199 to 2004, is one of four people selected this year to become a member of the National Mining Hall of Fame.

Barton and his fellow inductees will join 214 other mining industry pioneers when they are formally welcomed into the National Mining Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony is held in conjunction with the opening of MINExpo International 2012 at the Las Vegas Convention Center September 24-26.
