The Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) video below, which was taken by a drone on June 22, 2018, provides a close-up look at the new Interstate 74 bridge project over the Mississippi River. According to WQAD, the project leader on the Iowa side of the I-74 project, Danielle Mulholland, says work is really progressing.
The news station reports that crews only have a dozen drill shafts to finish, and they are continuing to work on the arch foundations on the westbound side of the bridge, which is schedules to be completed in 2019.
Mulholland told the news agency that the rising waters have been causing some issues, but they are still on schedule.
