Mississippi DOT executive director recognized for 25 years of service to AASHTO

The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) presented Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) Executive Director Melinda McGrath with a 25-Year Award of Meritorious Service at its recent annual meeting.

AASHTO presents the award to transportation employees after serving 25 years with an AASHTO member department and reaching the grade of district engineer, assistant central office division head, bureau chief or higher.

McGrath has been with MDOT for 25 years and was named executive director in 2011.

In addition to AASHTO, she serves on the board of several transportation associations including the United States of America-World Road Association, Mississippi Multi-Modal Council and Mississippi Road Builders Association.
