On-highway diesel fuel prices increased in the majority of U.S. regions this week, according to our sister site, Aggregates Manager.
The increase follows last week’s 50-50 split of increases and decreases in regions throughout the nation.
The greatest increase this week occurred in the West Coast region, which experienced a $0.009-per-gallon climb over last week’s prices and a $0.124-per-gallon year-over-year jump.
The Midwest and the Rocky Mountain regions experienced the largest weekly decreases, each at $0.012 per gallon less than last week. Diesel fuel costs in these two regions, however, have continued to rise year-over-year, with costs $0.241 (Midwest) and $0.057 (Rocky Mountain) higher than last year.
Overall, national prices continued to fall this week. Diesel fuel costs have decreased $0.003 per gallon since a week ago but are $0.160 per gallon higher than a year ago.
