Vermeer upgrades CC155 concrete cutter

Vermeer has added an improved ground drive system and easy access tilting to its CC 155 self-propelled concrete cutter. The new drive system features two hydraulic pumps and four motors to provide true all-wheel drive in all speed ranges. This equates to better traction and less tire spinning in cutting applications. The CC 155’s 155-horsepower Cummins diesel engine is managed by a microprocessor load control system that delivers precise control engine performance while meeting all Tier 2/Stage 2 diesel emissions standards.

The unit’s cutter wheel is powered by a high-torque, low-speed motor in a robust housing. It features high starting torque and radial load capability while a Hi/Lo adjustment feature and variable displacement pump allows adjustment of the cutter speed to meet a multitude of cutting jobs like highway and bridge relief joints, street and airport lighting projects, airport guidance systems and demolition work.
