Sales of both new and used financed compact utility loaders are up, as contractors continue to expand or replace their fleets with versatile and easily transportable compact machines.
More than 11,500 new stand-on mini loaders were sold from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026, a 1.3% increase over the same period last year, according to Fusable’s latest EDA finance data.
The sales bump pushed the tiny tool carriers ahead of wheel loaders, in terms of total new financed unit sales. Compact utility loaders are now the fourth-highest-selling product category, behind compact track loaders, mini excavators and excavators.
While Bobcat remained the top-seller of compact utility loaders with 4,043 units sold, second-place Kubota narrowed its gap with 2,120 units. Toro held firmly onto third with 1,510.
| Manufacturer | Units | % of All Units Sold |
| Bobcat | 4,043 | 35% |
| Kubota | 2,120 | 18.4% |
| Toro | 1,510 | 13.1% |
| Ditch Witch | 1,030 | 8.9% |
| Vermeer | 1,005 | 8.7% |
The Bobcat MT100 continued to lead the segment with 2,565 units sold; however, year-over-year sales declined as the company’s new, larger MT120 stole away some of the share. Second place went to Kubota’s sole stand-on compact loader, the SCL1000, with 2,120 units sold. The MT120 came in third with 1,468 units and the Toro Dingo TX 1000 ranked fourth with 1,037 units. While buyers generally favored units under 25 horsepower, one outlier, the 43.5-horsepower Ditch Witch SK1750, infiltrated the top five.
| Manufacturer/Model | Units Sold | Operating Weight | Rated Operating Capacity | Horsepower |
| Bobcat MT100 | 2,565 | 3,390 lbs. | 1,000 lbs. | 24.8 hp |
| Kubota SCL1000 | 2,120 | 3,035 lbs. | 1,000 lbs. | 24.8 hp |
| Bobcat MT120 | 1,468 | 3,720 lbs. | 1,200 lbs. | 24.5 hp |
| Toro Dingo TX 1000 | 1,037 | 2,911 lbs. | 1,000 lbs. | 24.7 hp |
| Ditch Witch SK1750 | 332 | 4,290 lbs. | 1,824 lbs. | 43.5 hp |

The states buying the most new compact utility loaders remained unchanged year-over-year: Florida, Texas and California.
| State | Units | % of All Units Sold |
| Florida | 920 | 8% |
| Texas | 842 | 7.3% |
| California | 613 | 5.3% |
What’s Selling in Used Compact Utility Loaders
Used compact utility loader sales jumped 24% year over year, reaching 1,490 units financed from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026, according to EDA.
The year-over-year increase in financing of low-cost used machines could reflect a shift in contractor buying habits: keeping cash on hand rather than throwing capital at equipment. Compact utility loaders are the 10th most financed product category for used machines.
Used buyers gravitated toward Bobcat, Toro and Ditch Witch. Popular used models included the Bobcat MT100, Kubota SCL1000, Toro Dingo TX 1000 and the Vermeer S925 TX.

| Vermeer | 207 | 13.9% |

Buyers were active in Tennessee, with 5.2% of all used compact utility loader sales, followed closely by Missouri at 5.1% and Texas at 5%.
EDA data is compiled from state UCC-1 filings on financed construction equipment. EDA continually updates this data as new information is received from each state. Depending on the type of machine, financed equipment can represent 40% to 75% of the total number of machines of that type sold in the United States. EDA tracks financed units only – so if the machine was bought with cash or letter of credit, it is not included in the counts.
