Foley Equipment, a 21-store Caterpillar dealer covering Kansas and Missouri, has unveiled its first Cat Compact location.
Connected to the dealership’s branch in Wichita, Kansas, Foley Equipment will target small and growing businesses with an expanded inventory of small equipment alongside parts, service and rental. The new location opened September 21.
Foley Equipment operates as the Caterpillar dealer for all of Kansas and 40 counties in Missouri.
“Cat Compact gives us additional tools to build on how we serve small and growing businesses,” said Klancy Foote, vice president of construction sales for Foley Equipment. “We know that many of our smaller customers have distinct needs, and adding Cat Compact to Wichita allows us to meet those needs better.”
Originally launched during ConExpo 2026, Caterpillar bills its new Cat Compact business model as a streamlined experience for small and growing businesses that delivers fast and simple service. Key to the format is its convenience, which condenses all a dealership’s offerings for compact equipment into one location.
Caterpillar also describes the Cat Compact store model as blending digital discovery and online research with in-person Cat dealer expertise and as an expansion of Caterpillar’s relevance in the compact market.
