DOUBLE-DUTY DOZERS
New Holland Construction’s crawler dozers now offer improved versatility with an optional side boom attachment for pipelaying applications. Initially available on New Holland’s D85B and D95B models, the hydraulic side boom option includes a 20,000-pound lift capacity and a three-lever hydraulic control system for simultaneous control of load and boom functions. The 15-foot side boom folds for transportation and two extendable counterweights can be easily removed. Quick release hinge pins allow for easy boom removal and maintenance.
SLICE THROUGH STUMPS
Thomas Grinding has added the Model SG-22 skid steer stump grinder attachment. The Model SG-22 features a universal skid steer mount, high-flow hydraulics, a Sandvik Dura Disk TM II stump cutting system and a bi-directional cutting disk.
BREAKER BITS

TRAIL BLAZERS
Bobcat’s Multi-Bar Lug and EarthForce Bar Lug replacement rubber tracks for compact track loaders feature uniformly wound cables wrapped in nylon fiber net and no connection points. Cut- and crack-resistant rubber compounds extend track life and help carry the machine’s maximum load. The Multi-Bar Lug has a greater number of tread lugs per foot than the EarthForce Bar Lug for a softer, smoother ride.
LOADER UPGRADE
Caterpillar’s 904H compact wheel loader replaces the 904B with 52 net horsepower, a 9,900-pound operating weight and upgraded cab space and controls. Features include a turbocharged MHI S4Q2 Tier 4 diesel engine, redesigned axles for increased ground clearance, articulated steering, two-speed hydrostatic drive, Z-bar loader linkage and a universal coupler.
UNDER COVER
VMAC’s 55-pound Underhood air compressor system delivers up to 150 cfm and 175 psi of instant air. An aluminum air end contributes to shorter lead times and overall reduced weight. Other features include an air/oil separator tank, mounting brackets, cooler and an idle controller. Mounting the compressor underneath the hood saves deck space and reduces trips to the worksite.
TIGHT TURNER
Yanmar’s ViO55-5B compact excavator includes an expanded track gauge for greater stability without increased undercarriage width. The excavator’s zero tail swing design enables 360 degree turning of the counterweight for working in cramped spaces, and the ViO progressive three pump system increases speed and power while improving fuel economy. A hydraulic quick coupler makes attachment changes a one-person job.
POWER AID
Mounted rugged skids for easy transport, Atlas Copco’s QAS 150 generator features a Zincor steel-coated canopy for extreme weather and jobsite conditions. The QAS 150 houses a six-cylinder John Deere engine, and powers a variety of critical applications with its 24-hour fuel tank. A standard sealed, spillage-free frame ensures all fluid is retained within the frame.
