Sunbelt Rentals, based in Charlotte, N.C., has now fully acquired NationsRent in a transaction valued at more than $1 billion. The merger creates the third-largest equipment rental provider in the U.S. rental market, with more than 470 locations.
Most NationsRent locations will continue to provide homeowner and contractor services. Lowe’s locations will offer more than $2 billion in rental fleet, equipment sales, maintenance and repair services, as well as 24-hour emergency service with a Sunbelt Rentals guarantee.
