Direction sensing controls keep boom lift on track

Axle based four-wheel drive systems provide maximum traction and maneuverability on Skyjack‘s new SJ 40T and SJ45T T Series telescopic boom lifts. A Detroit Locker differential on the rear oscillating axle and limited slip differential on the front axle ensure the least amount of power loss when one or more wheels lose traction. Both models feature 45-percent gradeability and are drivable at full height. The lifts also incorporate Skyjack’s direction sensing controls, which maintain driving and steering with respect to the operator rather than the orientation of the base. Other features include color-coded, analog-based control systems and relay-based electrical systems as opposed to multiplex control and wiring systems. For quick and easy maintenance, the central grease points are located at the rear of the turret.
