Sneak peek of bottom hopper trailer

Clement Industries’ new bottom hopper trailer, designed to address weight and payload size concerns, has 30 percent fewer parts than a typical bottom hopper, which translates into less frequent maintenance. Weighing less than 12,500 pounds, the trailer has strong front cross members and a unitized connection between the body and the suspension, eliminating cross member-to-sub-frame connections. The hopper is made out of 3/16-inch HT50 steel. The trailer’s gate is operated by air from longitudinal trailer braces. The model comes with 25,000-pound, 102-inch-wide track axles with parallel spindles and common inner and outer bearings.
