JLG announces business alignment

JLG has launched an organizational alignment the company says will support initiatives to grow its service operations, diversify channels to market and bring increased focus to its Six Sigma program.

The company will expand its ServicePLUS operations, started in Houston, into the Mid-Atlantic region. The ServicePLUS umbrella will include JLG’s commercial equipment services operations in McConnellsburg, Pa. The Houston location will be renamed ServicePLUS – South Central region, while the McConnellsburg location will become ServicePLUS – Mid-Atlantic region. ServicePLUS provides repair and maintenance, reconditioning and training on JLG-manufactured products.

The company also announced an expanded focus on commercial and industrial market channels for access products, such as vertical mast lifts and trailers, through the formation of the Commercial Solutions Group. “The unique requirements of this channel for product design and customer service will be the complete focus of the newly formed CSG, which will have dedicated resources in manufacturing, design, supply chain, marketing and sales,” said Bill Lasky, chairman, president and chief executive of JLG.

The company named John Louderback, formerly vice president of customer support services, vice president of Six Sigma, quality processes and training. Lasky said Louderback championed JLG’s Six Sigma program, which the company instituted a year ago.
