Putzmeister says its new BSF 40Z.16H concrete boom pump is the longest three-fold boom pump in its class. Its compact and lightweight design is suited for 40-meter-reach applications. The unit weighs in at less than 56,000 pounds, allowing contractors to avoid obtaining special road permits required in most states to operate large, four-axle trucks.
Putzmeister incorporated its Multi-Z boom configuration into the 40Z’s design. This boom allows the operator to maneuver in, over and around obstacles and efficiently place concrete in difficult-to-reach areas. At the same time, the Z-Boom’s component configuration has fewer bends in its length, requiring less maintenance, longer life, greater parts commonality and allowing for smoother flow of concrete through the line when pumping.
