But If your travels take you off the road from time to time as a hobby or for work, Magellan’s off-road vehicle navigation system, the eXplorist TRX7, provides detailed 2D and 3D base maps and trail databases from community generated data.

These crowd-sourced trails are constantly updated allowing users to plan adventures, navigate and add pictures and comments to the searchable trail database.

The OEM and end user versions come preloaded with more than 44,000 trails from forests and public lands. You can mark your trail observations with audio data or images, record trail conditions and seasonal information and rate the difficulty of obstacles.

You can even link the system to your Facebook or Twitter accounts and update your off-road status or accomplishments with the push of a button.
