LiuGong unveiled its 922E excavator and TD 40E dozer at Intermat this morning. David Beatenbough, vice president of research and development, told journalists the dozer has the heaviest undercarriage in the industry. A modular power train allows repairs on just components in need of replacement. Its countershaft transmission has one-third fewer parts than a planetary transmission, says the company.

The 922E’s Intelligent Power Control helps the company deliver a 20 percent net gain in fuel efficiency over models of the past few years. The  excavator has five modes, including power, efficiency and lifting. The high contrast cab display monitor can be seen in all light conditions. A service door near the cab gives easy access to the air filter and electrical panel.
