For 10 years in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, DirtFill.com has been matchmaking those who need fill dirt with those who have it. Now the site’s owner, the Minneapolis-based Cut & Fill dirt brokerage firm, wants to take the concept national.
“Most contractors have a small network they call on to either find or get rid of dirt,” says Kelby Bailey, Cut & Fill marketing vice president. “Our site will help them expand that network.” That expansion could include homeowners who may need dirt to fill a ravine, create a berm or build up their yard.
It’s free if you have the need for dirt, but if you have dirt to unload, it will cost you $29.99 for a three-month subscription.
