Subaru introduces “Hammer-Guard” to protect engine recoil

Subaru has added the new Hammer-Guard feature to its line of high performance air-cooled, 4-cycle overhead cam (OHC) EX series engines. The Hammer Guard is engineered to help protect the engine recoil from sustaining damage during transport or on the jobsite. The Hammer-Guard helps to prevent damage to the recoil area, which often leads to a malfunctioning spring and unusable recoil.
