Perhaps some money well spent

Unless you’re a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies, it will cost $249 to attend this webinar on Thursday, but it could be money well spent. ACEC promises top-level officials from the Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration and Federal Railroad Administration will speak about how stimulus funds will be used. Details below.

Transportation Funding in the Stimulus: What You Need To Know

Senior US Department of Transportation officials will present the latest information on the transportation funding programs in the recently enacted economic stimulus package during a special online seminar on Thursday, March 26 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. EDT.  This is a very timely session for all firms that engage in transportation-related work. Click here to register.

HR 1, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, includes over $48 billion for transportation projects. Funding is already flowing to the states, and new implementation guidance is being released to help agencies and the industry understand the special rules associated with the new program.

Mr. King Gee, the Associate Administrator for Infrastructure with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will brief seminar registrants on funding for highway and bridge projects. He will be joined by senior officials from Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and the Federal Railroad Administration.
