Mega-builder Turner Construction announced that it now has 81 of it’s 160 New Jersey-based staff members LEED accredited, more than any other construction management firm in the United States. Last year the firm completed more than $3-billion in LEED certified projects.
LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and has become a legitimate engineering standard “green” building. Clients and project owners both in the government and private sector are increasingly requiring contractors to bring LEED certification and design to the bidding table.
