Rick Martinez of the Raleigh News & Observer finds a lot in common with the way the stimulus bill has been handled by Congress and the way one is often treated by used-car salesmen, except for the fact that you can always walk away from a bad car deal.
He also points out that while unemployment among construction workers is at 18 percent, unemployment among government workers is 3 percent and just 3.8 percent among education and health care workers. Yet the lion’s share of the stimulus bill will go to these last two groups. Key quote:
