Lincoln Electric breaks ground for expansion

Lincoln Electric has broken ground for a 120,000-square-foot expansion of the company’s consumables plant located in Mentor, Ohio. The expansion, expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2008, will allow the plant to handle increased wiredrawing capacity.

The Mentor expansion is one phase of a planned build out to expand the company’s manufacturing capabilities worldwide. Lincoln has 10 plants currently in the planning stages or under construction.
