The American Road and Transportation Builders Association has hired Melanie Bassett as a regional director, focusing primarily on the Midwest. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, Bassett is responsible for field activities including membership, leadership and grassroots development, fundraising, member services, and ARTBA representation at industry events.
Before joining ARTBA, Bassett worked as executive director of congressional and public affairs for the Great Lake Regional office of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, based in Chicago, Illinois.
