Who needs power lunch when you can power mulch

If you’re looking for large-scale straw-bale processing for erosion control, Vermeer’s new Top Gun 185 may be just the ticket. With its hydraulically powered discharge spout it can shoot straw up to 100 feet, swing left or right 300 degrees and pivot 20 degrees up or 30 degrees down. The Top Gun 185 offers a tub capacity of 6 feet by 5 feet and takes bales up to 2,500 pounds.

A multipurpose joystick mounted on the armrest of the operator’s seat controls almost all functions. Electric over hydraulic controls, also found on the joystick, handle the rotating direction of the feed rollers, set the depth of cut for the bale and adjust the deflector angle at the end of the spout.
